EPD Asking Public for Help to Curb Gang-Related Violence

The Evansville Police Department is calling on the community to help curb the city’s gang problem.

The Evansville Police Department is calling on the community to help curb the city’s gang problem.

It comes after EPD arrested 22 people Thursday in a citywide crackdown on drug trafficking and other gang-related activities. EPD Sgt. Jason Cullum said most of the people arrested Thursday are affiliated with or involved in the gang ‘300 Wag Block.’ However, Cullum said they’re also monitoring activity within other gangs in the city.

Cullum said EPD is now asking residents and religious organizations to step up to help them weed out bad individuals.
