EPD Make Arrest in Early Saturday Morning Shooting

Evansville Police have arrested the alleged trigger man in an early morning shooting on Saturday on Jeanette Benton Drive.

Officers were called out to the 400 block of Jeanette Benton drive around 12:30 Saturday morning.
When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old with a gun shot wound to the abdomen.

We're told he was taken to the hospital and he is expected to survive.

Saturday morning EPD named 19-year-old John Forrest Robertson as the shooting suspect.
We're told officers found and arrested Robertson late Saturday night.

He now faces charges for aggravated battery and criminal recklessness.
He's being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail on $100,000 bond.
