Police say two men approached the car in the 1600 block of South Morton Avenue about 8:30 on March 31.

One suspect told the other to shoot. When he fired, a bullet went through the back window and the passenger's head rest.
One of the suspects fired again as the car drove away.

No injuries were reported but there was a small child in a nearby yard as shots were fired.
Officers say the two suspects ran from the scene.
