EPD Searching for Suspect in Southside Robbery

Evansville Police are looking for the man who robbed the Family Dollar Saturday morning.
Evansville Police are searching for the suspect in a southside strong armed robbery.

Officers were called to the Family Dollar at Covert and Lodge Avenue around 11:30 Saturday morning.

Witnesses say the store's security buzzer started going off when a man tried to leave the store with a long list of products stuffed in his pants.

When employees tried to stop the man, he allegedly started pulling the items out his pants, and then pushed one of the clerks before taking off on foot.

So far, no arrests have been made.
