We're getting a better idea of how bad the erosion damage is to Kentucky 281 in Hopkins County.

As Eyewitness News first reported Tuesday, Kentucky Transportation crews have closed part of the road between Highway 1033 and Highway 138.

Part of a nearby levee started to break down. And with the recent rains, the stretch of highway has gotten worse.

We're told a team of engineers is working on a plan to fix the road and get it reopened as soon as possible.
