Evansville Churches Collect Shoes for the Needy

More than 11,000 shoes were collected by Evansville churches for the Soles for Souls organization.
Local churches in Evansville are helping souls with the soles on their shoes.

Crossroads, Bethel and the Evansville Christian Life Center all collected more than 11,000 pairs of shoes for the needy.

Some of the organizers took a 30 day vow of poverty; and even spent the day barefoot.

You can still donate shoes at drop-off locations in each church.

"Souls for Soles" will take the shoes and ship them out of the country. In return, new shoes will be shipped back to the Evansville community.
