Evansville Golf Courses Reopen After Storms

Two city-owned golf courses open back up Sunday after suffering storm damage caused by the macro burst Friday evening.
After spending much of the weekend cleaning up debris, Evansville's two city-owned golf courses opened back up Sunday.

Both Helfrich and Fendrich golf courses were hit especially hard by the macro-burst Friday evening.

Each golf course had some thirty to fourty trees uprooted.

At Fendrich, groundskeepers estimate each hole lost a big tree.
Sand trap owner, Jerry Freyberger, says the storms and the damage they've caused, have affected business on this Mother's Day, which is typically a busy day in the golfing season.

Many of the large branches still need to be cleaned up, but the course is playable.
