An Evansville man is sentenced on federal firearm charges, and it's not the first time he's been on the wrong side of the law.

27-year-old Basil Kamali was sentenced to 48 months in prison. He entered a guilty plea to knowingly receiving a firearm with intent to commit a robbery.

Police say Kamali set up a meeting at the west side Walmart in January of last year to buy a gun and ammo. But instead he was set-up by federal agents.

Kamali is a convicted felon and was on state parole for burglary and attempted armed robbery.
