Evansville Mayor Declares Disability Awareness Month

It is Disability Awareness Month in Evansville.
It is Disability Awareness Month in Evansville.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke made the declaration this morning. The goal is simple; raise awareness and promote independence, integration, and inclusion of all people with disabilities.

The mayor is also encouraging children to take part with an art and essay contest.
Any child, kindergarten to eighth grade, can make a submission reflecting the theme "Dream to Dare".

The deadline for entries is March 26th.
