Participants will cover a wide range of artistic mediums in a short amount of time! We’ll learn about acrylic paints, oil paints, watercolors, collage, clay, and sculpture. A trip to the Museum’s permanent collection will provide inspiration for creating our own Masterpiece. The day will end with a reception and our own art exhibit!

Rocks, fossils, volcanoes, oh my! In this class, budding geologists will make earthquakes, touch fossils that are millions of years old, and learn about dinosaurs. We will also explore what geology is like on other planets!

July 25 – Unlocking the Secrets of Ancient Egypt Camp
Walk like an Egyptian! Participants will explore the myths and truths about mummification through the Museum’s own replica teaching mummy – EMASHOTEP, an Egyptian Royal. We will plan a traditional Egyptian funeral, write our names in hieroglyphics, and sample Egyptian snacks.

August 1 - Who Needs a Paintbrush Camp
Things are about to get squishy! In this workshop we will explore the many ways to paint without using a paintbrush. We’ll use our fingers, feet, cars, household objects, and maybe even light!
