Evansville Non-Profit Celebrates 20 Years

The Memorial Community Development Corporation celebrated serving the Center City for 20 years.
The non-profit arm of a prominent church on the south side of Evansville celebrates a major milestone.
The Memorial Community Development Corporation has been serving the Center City for 20-years. And on Thursday, they held a special luncheon.

Over the past two decades, the Memorial CDC has built 8 multi-family apartment complexes, created a day care, a credit union and a lot more.
"(WE'VE EMBRACED) We have an AIDS ministry. We've embraced the issues that are confronting us but we don't see them as issues but we call them opportunities to serve," said Reverend Adrian Brooks.

Rev. Brooks says the success of the Memorial CDC wouldn't be possible without the help of the city.
From Mayor McDonald to Mayor Winnecke, Brooks says the partnerships have been paramount.
