Evansville Police Repond to Two Shots Fired Calls in One Night

In just one night, within a short distance of each other, Evansville Police respond to two shots fired calls.
Evansville Police responded to two shots fired calls last night, both within a short distance of each other.

The first call came from the 700 block of East Blackford Avenue.
The victim says eight shots were fired at his home while he and his two children were inside.

Less than two hours later, another shots fired call came from an area near Taylor and Morton Avenue.
Once on-scene, officers spotted a parked car that had been involved in recent shots fired calls.

EPD later spotted the same car near South Garvin and East Blackford Avenue.
Officers found the driver intoxicated and in possession of a handgun. He was cited and released.
