Evansville Receives Clean Water and Sewer Audit

Evansville Water and Sewer Utility receives a clean audit for 2012.
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility receives a clean audit for 2012. This from the Indiana State Board of Accounts. It's considered an "unqualified" opinion, which is the best outcome for a utility.

Evansville's sewer system will soon get a $500 million overhaul. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says he is pleased to see the clean audit before the EPA mandated repairs begin.

"This is all reassuming," said Mayor Winnecke, "as we continue to seek bonding authority to go about funding long needed and badly needed infrastructure projects."

This clean audit comes two weeks after Evansville received the same opinion in its 2012 audit.
