Evansville Sinkhole Fixed

That sinkhole in Evansville that nearly swallowed a car is now fixed and traffic is flowing smoothly again.
A major sinkhole that swallowed a car in Evansville is now fixed.

The sink hole opened up two weeks ago at the intersection of Oregon and North Main Streets; traffic was back to normal Saturday night.

In addition to repairing the road, the Water and Sewer Utility had to fix underground pipes.

The images you see are of the sinkhole when it first opened.

A driver was in this car when it fell head-first into the sinkhole that was more than 12 ft. deep.

Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.
