Evansville Streets Come Alive

The event, in its third year, is aimed at getting people moving.
An Evansville street festival aims to get people moving.

'Evansville Streets Alive' took over North Main Street and Garvin Park this afternoon.

Traffic was blocked from entering the area so people could move through the event safely.

Organizers tell us Evansville was the first city in Indiana to have an "open streets" event like this one.

The festival featured a 5K fundraiser for Delaware School, a parade, canoeing, a variety of fitness classes and other family friendly activites

This is the festival's third year running - last year it was held on Fulton Avenue.

Organizers tell us around four thousand people were expected to take part in today's event.
