The US Department of Education has chosen the EVSC as the only school district in Indiana to get funds for its students' health.

The district will get $384,000 because it wants to develop and improve physical activity and nutrition programs.

EVSC will use the money to help students from kindergarten through 12th grade meet state standards for physical education.

Teachers will give new lessons in good eating habits and in activities that help physical, mental, social and emotional development as well as have opportunities to further their own education.
