Over the next months, we will bring you stories related to the dangers associated with the texting and driving, and how it has affected, even ruined lives.

One thing is for sure, the consequences for distracted drivers are becoming more strict.  39 states have banned texting while driving.  Still, every year, thousands of people die because of it.

One family, who lost their loved one to a distracted driver, is fighting to make sure other families won't have to suffer the same loss.  Click on the video player for their story.
