Family Has Fourth Family Reunion on July 4th Weekend

One man traveled more than 700 miles for his family's fourth union on the fourth of July weekend.
Many folks around the Tristate continue to enjoy time with family and friends this holiday weekend.

In Henderson, dozens could be seen soaking up the sun at Audubon State Park.

Bob Hill tells us his family is having their fourth family reunion this fourth of July weekend.

Hill traveled more than 700 miles from Virginia for the event.
He says his parents started the Hill family reunion at Audubon about 10 years ago and they've had it in the same park shelter ever since.

"We like doing it in Henderson. Most of us don't live in Henderson, but some of us grew up in the area. I grew up in the area. The barbeque we can get in Henderson is really good. You can't buy barbeque like that in Virginia," said Bob Hill.

Hill says having the reunion over the fourth of July weekend makes it extra special for the family's youngest members as they were able to watch several displays last night.
