Family of Foxes Move Into East Side Neighborhood

Foxes have been spotted on Evansville's east side.
(Evansville, IN.) -- Some people visit the zoo if they'd like to see wild animals, but folks in one Evansville neighborhood don't have to go any farther than their own backyard.

They're seeing red foxes and this is not the first time they've inhabited this area. People say they come back every year.

It's a talking point as to how wildlife are showing up in the most suburban settings. The neighborhood is just a few miles away from Wesselman's Park.

Neighbors say the foxes may have been pushed out of their natural habitat, when the stadium was torn down.

Evansville Animal Control says spring time is mating and birthing season for these animals. They also say if you see wild animals, you shouldn't approach or feed them.
