Victim's Name Released in Fatal Crash on Lloyd Expressway

Authorities have released the name of the driver who died in an accident on the Lloyd Expressway.

The driver of the flatbed truck who died in the accident has been identified.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner's office says 61 year-old Daryl Lattner died in the accident.

All traffic lanes are now open.

An SUV and a flatbed truck have collided on the eastbound Lloyd Expressway.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says 72 year-old Carolyn Boulds was traveling westbound on the Lloyd Expressway in an SUV. Witnesses says she was swerving and ran red lights at Red Bank Road and Boehne Camp Road.

Police say she then crossed the median into oncoming traffic.

Investigators believe the flatbed driver swerved to avoid the SUV, but vehicles crashed head-on. Police say the driver of the flatbed died at the scene. Boulds was taken to a nearby hospital.

Eastbound lanes were closed for over two hours.

At this time, police say alcohol is not a factor. The accident is still under investigation.
