FEMA Denies Winter Storm Aid to Indiana Counties

The federal government will not help Evansville and Vanderburgh County pick up the tab for clean up and repairs from this past winter's storms.
The federal government will not help Evansville and Vanderburgh County pick up the tab for clean up and repairs from this past winter's storms.

Vanderburgh and numerous other counties in the state asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency for hep in paying for items such as broken water mains and and road salt.

But FEMA denied the request, which means each county will have to pay for their own costs.

Evansville says that number could hit $500,000 in water line repairs alone.
