Fire Destroys Dubois County Home

An investigation is underway into a fire that destroyed a house in Dubois County this morning.
An investigation is underway into a fire that destroyed the home of a Dubois County firefighter.

The house in the northeast corner of the county caught fire about 8:15 Central time.

Our media partner, News Now Dubois County, says the house was fully engulfed when Dubois firefighters arrived on scene.

No one was in the house at the time, but the firefighter's family lost everything.

Now the department is asking the public for clothing donations for Clint and Trisha Eichmiller, their daughter and son.

The little girl wears 5P clothing. Their son wears 36/30 pants, XL shirts, and size 13-14 shoes. Trisha wears size 13 clothes and XL shirts, while Clint 33/36 jeans; L/XL shirts, and 10 1/2 shoes.

Contact the Dubois County Volunteer Fire Department for information on where to donate.
