Fire crews are called to help their own as a massive fire destroys the South Hopkins Fire Department.
The fire started just after eleven Wednesday night, going up quickly, and leaving firefighters helpless.
There was no saving the building located in the southern part of Hopkins County, right along Highway 41A.
There were five trucks inside the station, including two tankers, an engine truck, a quick response vehicle and a brush truck.
Fire chief Darwin Rideout is also a major with the Madisonville Fire Department.
That's where he was when he got the news.
This is a very family oriented area.
In fact, Chief Rideout's father had a lot to do with building this station.
    Nobody was hurt.
