Economic revenue for the Ford Center is slightly down this year.
Executive Director Scott Schoenike presented the center's half year report to the Evansville Re-development Commission today.
The report shows revenue is down 2½%.
Schoenike says there are a few factors for the decrease in revenue, including less spending on concessions and merchandise. Also, that both the Evansville Icemen hockey and the University of Evansville basketball teams didn't make the playoffs.
Schoenike says the 2½% percent slip is no cause for alarm and doesn't foresee any adjustments to the center's budget. He claims there's no immediate need to raise, or lower, prices.
With plans of a new convention hotel and other construction projects in the downtown area, Shoenike says, he's confident revenue for the Ford Center will rise again.
