Former FBI Director Injured in Car Accident

Former FBI Director Louis Freeh is in the hospital with serious injuries following a car crash in Eastern Vermont.
    Former FBI Director Louis Freeh is in the hospital with serious injuries following a car crash in Eastern Vermont.
    This happened Monday afternoon.
    Police say Freeh was traveling south on Route 12 when he drove off the road, hit a mailbox then a row of shrubs before the car finally stopped at the side of a tree.
    He was wearing a seat belt. 
    Freeh headed up the FBI between 1993 and 2001 and most recently was the lead investigator in the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State.
    There has yet to be an updated condition from the hospital.
