The Evansville City Council will decide if Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley will keep her position as vice president during a special session Thursday afternoon.

The Evansville City Council will decide if Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley will keep her position as vice president during a special session Thursday afternoon.

The council will hold an executive session first and then vote publicly.

The councilwoman is under fire for releasing a recording of a private meeting and other incidents that have stemmed from that revelation.

City council president John Friend and city council member Jonathan Weaver said they’d like to refocus on issues facing the River City rather than the firestorm surrounding Brinkerhoff-Riley.
