Old Man Winter made its way to the Tristate and settled in like in-laws. Snow, ice, and freezing temperatures are unwanted and have overstayed their welcome. As we step out of the deep freeze, we enter the big melt. Icicles drip away into a warm breeze. Salt on the roadways is washed away by melting snow. It finally seems like winter will be behind us.
The distant chirping of birds reminds us that spring is just around the corner.
