Evansville, Ind. - It's something many young aspiring artists could only dream of. For one local talent that dream is now reality. Meghan Nicole has come full circle from the "River City" to the "Music City". The Evansville native has just signed a record deal and is getting ready to release her first country music album. She returned to her alma mater; Memorial High school today to share her remarkable story and talent.

Meghan Nicole has been singing since she was a little girl.

"I've been singing like since I was three; like since i could talk" she says.

The 20 year old wants to take the music industry by storm.

"I started out singing opera but my passion is country" she added.

Her passion is what landed her in the Nashville writing with top producer, Tim Ash.

"I just sang for a producer and he said alright we're signing so it's pretty cool", she remembers.

Tim Ash along with his record label are fully behind the budding star.

"There's a quality that we look for and it's very rare", Ash says.

Ash says promoting his latest discovery is a grass roots effort and social media is the engine.
A CD release party was held at her alma mater, Memorial High School.

"It's very worth it when we find artist like Meghan, she's gonna go very far", he added.

"Whether its music or business or anything else you gotta have a strong foundation" Ash added.

For Meghan Nicole that foundation is her family; keeping her grounded and focused.

"Stay focused on what's going on not try and do everything let other people help you", Meghan says.

She'll be performing this evening at 7 at Memorial High School.Meghan will also be doing a radio release on Renegade Radio in Nashville at the end of the month.
