Hape Going Into Second Year at Reitz

Andy Hape getting his bearings in second year as Reitz head coach.
Reitz head coach Andy Hape is going into his second year at the helm.  The former Panther went 8-4 in his first season, but finished the year with a 7-2 run after starting the year 1-2 with losses to Henderson County and Castle.

Hape and the Panthers are looking for some revenge going into their Week One matchup with the Colonels.  Tony Lewis spoiled Hape's first game with his return to The Bowl as HCHS head coach.  The Colonels connected on two clutch passes to take the lead in the closing seconds before going on to win 24-21.

"I know Coach Lewis will have his team ready to go," says Hape about the rematch. "They'll be fundamentally sound and play good football. I'm just excited to get this season started."

The Reitz vs. Henderson rematch is our first Home Team Friday Game of the Week.  It will air live on Local 7 WTVW Friday night at 7:00pm.
