Two people were rescued from flood waters near Ellis Park in Henderson.

Shortly after 4 o'clock they were swept away as they tried to drive through a flooded road near the horse track. Officials say the couple was on their way to cash in tickets at Ellis Park when they became stranded.

Both were standing on top of the car when Henderson Emergency crews arrived. The couple was safely bought back to land and sent to Methodist Hospital to get checked out.
