Hopkins County Man Faces Manslaughter Charge after January Shooting

A Hopkins County man is indicted by a grand jury for manslaughter after a shooting.
St. Charles, Ky.- Kevin Hoffman will face a manslaughter charge following a shooting that resulted in the death of a Hopkins County man.

According to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, Hoffman fatally shot Tony Earl, 40, in Hoffman's home back in mid-January.

The home owner says he shot and killed, what he believed, was an intruder in his home. Authorities say the two men were acquaintances.

Neighbors say the two men were very good friends.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the shooting allegedly took place the night before Hoffman called 911.
