House Committee Approves Raising Kentucky Minimum Wage

The House Labor and Industry Committee voted in favor of the bill to raise minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour by July 2016.

The legislation also prohibits wage discrimination, meaning all workers be paid equal wages regardless of sex, race, or nationality.

The bill now goes to the full House.
