The Henderson Police Department held a meeting for those interested in becoming officers.

HPD says the meeting goes everything from resumes to applications, and even gives officers the opportunity to answer questions about the job.

Officer Jennifer Richmond says the meeting is all about making information accessible.

"We have found in the past a lot of times people have questions but they don't know who to ask those questions to. So, we have to information sessions. Tonight was the second one in the series where we just sit down with any applicants or anybody who may be interested in working for the Henderson Police Department."

Anyone interested in applying can contact the Henderson Police Department. The deadline is September 3.
