Months before his death, an Evansville man shared his life story on a national stage. The "I Am Second" movement released the video today featuring Nathan Schroer.

In the powerful posthumous short film, Schroer speaks about his troubled childhood and about the disease that ultimately took his life.

Schroer battled leukemia for nine years before his death in November 2013. He was a father, husband, and Evansville Police officer, including the department's chaplin.
