GOP candidate Bruce Rauner started in Chicago this morning. This is Rauner's first time running for public office and is leading the polls in fund raising right now. He spent time in Carmi over the weekend.
State Senator Bill Brady also touring the state today, making stops in Springfield and Peoria.
He says if elected governor of Illinois, he wants to restore confidence to the people through job creation in all parts of the state, not just the Chicago area.
Democrat Tio Hardiman is running against Governor Pat Quinn. He's visiting universities in Peoria, Champaign and Bloomington today.
