U.S. Bankruptcy Court documents show sheriff candidate Lt. Kirk Byram filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2008 involving $1 million of debt. Documents show Lt. Byram received $140,000 of loans from his mother, and she has not been paid back.
