Indiana House Votes for Another Vanderburgh Co. Magistrate

A bill that would add another magistrate in Vanderburgh County is on it's way to the Senate.
A bill that would add another magistrate in Vanderburgh County is on it's way to the Senate. The bill passed out of the House 95-0.

The new law would allow the court judge to appoint a second full-time magistrate. A magistrate is much like a judge, but not elected and the person answers to the judge.

State Representatives Tom Washburne, Gail Riecken, Holli Sullivan, and Wendy McNamara introduced the bill.
