Crews needed all sorts of help to remove the semi and cattle from the Pennyrile Parkway this morning.

Several inmates from the Hopkins County Jail were brought in to help remove the cows from the tractor trailer. Jail officials say they're occasionally called in to help clear accident scenes.

Several towing companies were also brought in to get the semi out of the median, which sheriff's deputies say was very steep.

"They're not very often, not like this," said Deputy Shannon Bellis. "You might have a little wreck here and there. You might have a tractor trailer turn over. This is one of the worst ones I've seen in a while."

Mortons Gap volunteer firefighters were also on scene to spray water on the cows still inside the semi to keep them cool.
