ISP Reporting Candy Laced with THC

A big warning for parents. Indiana State Police reports candy laced with THC is popping up in southwest Indiana.

THC is the chemical compound that provides the "high" in marijuana.

Troopers say most of the candy found resembles suckers, hard-rock candy, and gummy worms and bears.

"It looks just like regular candy," said Sgt. Todd Ringle. "The individuals are taking the THC from the marijuana to the candy. It's a fairly easy process, and unfortunately what we're hearing anyway is that the THC level is much higher in the candy."

ISP says the candy has not yet turned up in schools. If you have any information concerning THC candies, you are encouraged to contact the Indiana State Police.
