Kayla Moody

Weekend Anchor, Reporter
Kayla Moody joined the Eyewitness News team as a reporter/multi-media journalist in July 2011. In September 2011 she became the morning live reporter for Eyewitness News and a host of Local 7 Lifestyles. Three months later she became a nightside reporter, primarily reporting for the 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Kayla comes to the Tri-state straight from Ball State University where she graduated cum laude with a degree in telecommunications and journalism graphics. During her time at Ball State Kayla anchored and reported for NewsLink Indiana, the university's student-ran broadcast news station.

Kayla grew up in central Illinois near Danville. She moved to Indianapolis at age 12, where she has since then resided. She is excited to join the Tri-state community and call Evansville home.

When she's not reporting Kayla enjoys running, crafting, baking, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys playing with, exercising and spoiling her black lab Apollo--who was featured in several Local 7 Lifestyles Pet Training segments.

Kayla wants to be an active part of the community and tell stories that matter to you. If you have a story you'd like to share with Kayla, or even a race you'd like to see her run, she'd love to hear from you at kmoody@tristatehomepage.com.
