Kentucky Regionals Leave Only Owensboro Alive

Henderson County couldn't handle Hopkinsville, but Owensboro topped Muhlenberg County in Kentucky Regionals Tuesday.
Henderson County held its own for as long as it could, but coming off a double overtime win Monday night, the legs gave out on the Colonels.  Hopkinsville allowed Henderson to stick around through halftime, with the game tied 26-26 at the break.  Henderson's Bryce Crowley had 11 points in the first quarter, 14 for the half, but Hop-town's athleticism was too much in the end as the Tigers won 64-47.

The Owensboro Red Devils, however, took care of business at the Sportscenter in Owensboro. Rod Drake's team gave up only four points to the Muhlenberg County Mustangs in the third quarter. The Red Devils have given up only seven points in the third quarters of its two most recent games.  Owensboro will move on to the Sweet Sixteen to play Louisville Trinity on March 19th.
