Kids Enjoy Reading, Exotic Animals at Library

Local kids get up close and personal with good books and exotic animals this morning. Animals Tales is part of the Summer reading program at the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library.

Kids and their families came out to the library to meet animals. This year the theme is "Animal Classification" for the kids to learn more about the animal kingdom.

Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library's Miranda Knight says the program gives kids the chance to learn, explore, and go on an adventure right in their back yard.

"Animal Tales each year molds their programs with Summer reading themes libraries are doing," said Knight, "so it's a good fit for us. Always a lot of fun, always a big turnout, and obviously the kids enjoy it."

Animal Tales returns for shows next Tuesday at all three Evansville Public Library locations.
