Madisonville Pharmacy Employee Arrested for Stealing Pills

A Madisonville woman is accused of taking more than $10,000 worth of pain pills from the pharmacy where she works.
A Madisonville woman is accused of taking more than $10,000 worth of pain pills from the pharmacy where she works.

Police arrested 29-year-old Laura Jean Trautman on two counts of theft of a controlled substance.

Investigators say she admitted to unlawfully taking more than 1,700 hydrocodone pills over the last year. Authorities say she was caught by the pharmacy's surveillance cameras.

Based on the number of pills taken, police say this amount of hydrocodone had a street value of more than $10,000.
