Man Accused of Pointing Gun at Sheriff Deputy

An Evansville man allegedly stealing a couple cans of soda from a food court ends up in a lot more trouble.
An Evansville man allegedly stealing a couple cans of soda from a food court ends up in a lot more trouble. 22-year-old Jacob Beliles faces three felony charges and two misdemeanors.

An off-duty sheriff's deputy working at Washington Square Mall says he saw the theft happen and chased Beliles into the parking lot. That's when the deputy says Beliles pointed a gun at him.

Beliles was tased and arrested. Deputies say the gun not loaded.
