A Daviess County man accused of shooting his dog earlier this year makes a pre-trial court appearance.

28-year-old Matthew Beauchamp will go back to court June 10. At that point, he will either plead guilty, or the judge will set a date for a trial.

Beauchamp is charged with torturing his dog "Lad."  The collie was found shot in the face near Maceo, Kentucky back in February. Officials say the dog also appeared to be starving at the time he was found.
