Robert Brantley, the man charged with the murder of Adam Hogan, appeared in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.

The incident happened March first at Double Dukes in Henderson. Investigators said the encounter turned deadly when Hogan refused to leave and security guards approached him.

Henderson Police Department Detective Shannon Troutman was the only person to testify Thursday. He said some witness cell phone footage only captures some of the five to ten minute incident. He said it shows security guards jumping on Hogan. Troutman said some witnesses described Brantley as the man who they saw holding and choking Hogan.
