Man Faces Attempted Fetal Homicide Charges

A Madisonville man is in Hopkins County Jail accused of inducing a miscarriage.

A Madisonville man is facing attempted fetal homicide charges.

The arrest of 19 year old Daylyn Jones comes after a month long investigation.

Police say they received a tip in May from the parents of a juvenile teen. The parents claimed Jones had given the teen a drink with a suspicious substance in it.

The Ky State Police crime lab determined the ingredient could cause miscarriage.

38 states have fetal homicide laws.

In Kentucky, an unborn child is defined from conception onward.

Jones is being held in the Hopkins County Jail.
