Man Killed in Indiana Prison

An Indiana prison is on lockdown after a stabbing death of an inmate.
A man is dead and another is held in isolation after a stabbing incident inside an Indiana prison.
The prison is now on lockdown.
At 6:45pm Thursday, a call for assistance was received within the Putnamville Correctional Facility near Greencastle, Indiana. A suspect in the stabbing has been isolated from general population and his name is withheld pending formal charges.
The victim, Darwin Elmore, was serving 2 consecutive sentences for dealing cocaine.  His earliest projected release date was June 8, 2016.
An autopsy of the victim is being performed today to determine the official cause of death. Formal charges are anticipated through the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office.
