A young man is walking the roads of Kentucky today in hopes to bring mental health awareness.

Ian Cummins is continuing his journey today from Owensboro to Henderson on Highway 60.

In November, Ian's brother committed suicide, so it is his goal to reach out to as many people as he can to get people to seek help who suffer from mental health issues.

"If I can affect one person on this trip in a positive way," said Cummins, "just getting out and about and getting out that it's nothing to be ashamed of and it's not a weakness, I think that's a success."

Ian began his trip March 1, in Virginia Beach and is walking across the entire country all the way to San Francisco.

He is staying in Henderson tonight and will make his way to Illinois tomorrow.
