Man Pops Wheelie in Front of Deputy, Tries to Speed Off

After popping a wheelie in front of an officer, a man tries to outrun police; on two wheels, then on two feet.
A man is arrested after leading Daviess County authorities on a high speed chase Friday evening.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office tells us 23-year-old Steven Stanley of Owensboro was riding a motorcycle down New Hartford Road when he popped a wheelie in front of a deputy.

When the deputy tried to pull Stanley over, investigators say he took off on Breckenridge - well above the speed limit.

Deputies say Stanley lost control of the motorcycle and tried to run away on foot.

He was later arrested on East 4th Street.

He's in the Daviess County Jail facing a long list of charges.
